![]() Dave HahnDave will be presenting his personal slideshow of his amazing adventures on Mt. Vinson in Antarctica, a peak he's summited 27 times. Dave Hahn is a professional mountain-climbing guide, ski patroller, journalist and speaker. He made headlines in 2008 as the first non- Sherpa climber to make it to Mount Everest's summit ten times. That feat, along with his record 25th ascent of Antarctica's Mt. Vinson, his 250th ascent of Mount Rainier and his 25th expedition to Denali, earned Hahn an ESPY nomination in July as the "Best Outdoor Athlete" Dave Hahn has been recognized several times for his efforts to rescue fellow climbers in cold and difficult environments. The American Alpine Club gave Hahn the Sowles Award for rescues close to the summit of Mount Everest in 2001 while the National Park Service named Hahn as "Denali Pro Mountaineer of the Year" for rescues on Mount McKinley that same year. Hahn writes about his adventures for Outside Magazine as well as for several websites. He has contributed to a number of book projects, including those dealing with the discovery of George Mallory's remains at 27,000 ft on Mt. Everest's north face (a discovery which Hahn documented as the high altitude cameraman, web journalist and still photographer on the trip) Hahn lives at the southern end of the Rocky Mountains in Taos, New Mexico.
